Church School

Church School - Way of The Child
Church School for Older Youth

Reading CenterThe Way of the Child Church School has just begun for our grade school through 7th grade children. Come join us to experience God together in this special place.

Each week we'll read from the Bible, spend time in our reflection stations, and talk about God in our lives. You'll have the chance to visit each of the stations in the weeks that come - including Sand, Gazing, Reading, Journaling, World, and Art. Come join us!

Learn more about the program.

All youth from 8th grade up are invited to the youth lounge each Sunday to share in fellowship and faith reflection. New topics each week will provide opportunity for discussion and building friendships in Christ. Please join us!

Church School for our Youngest Friends

Our youngest friends are invited to explore God's stories through Children & Worship. Bible stories are presented using wooden figures and felt, in terms that pre-schoolers can understand, yet are still relevant for the rest of us.

Pre-school aged children (3 years old through pre-Kindergarten) are invited to worship in this way. If they are more comfortable, they may stay and play in the nursery.

Church School Offerings

There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish.
But what are they among so many people?

-John 6:9

Sunday School offerings go a long way when each individual remembers to contribute each week. In a longstanding tradition all money is donated to our friends at Cameron Community Ministries, 48 Cameron St., Rochester.

Cameron provides a safe place to be after school for elementary school children in the neighborhood, most of who attend School #30. There they can focus on homework, reading, computer skills, exercise, and play. At this time of year, donations of additional school supplies and books are appreciated as well. Meals and clothing provisions are yet another major aspect of this urban out-reach ministry. More information can be found at Cameron Community Ministries.

If your child does not have a box of church offering envelopes you must see Kevin Krueger to receive one and make Sunday School Offering a practice to follow. Consider your child’s future contributions in a form of a pledge. Last year at least three children pledged a portion of their allowance each week to aid Cameron’s schoolchildren.

A single box goes a long way. Dated envelopes are as acceptable as blank ones. Let’s strive for a goal of $500 by next June. Thank you in advance for your kindness and selflessness.
