Water for Life
Every living thing needs water. The Bible overflows with it: the first mention of water in scripture is found in Genesis 1:2, with the last mention in Revelation 22:17. In between those two books water flows right through the pages of scripture.
This year our focus is on water and the power of prayer. Join us and watch these themes woven through all aspects of church life.
Water for Sudan
Imagine not being able to have a glass of water when you wanted it. Imagine having to walk for hours to get to the nearest source of water. Imagine that drinking the water would cause you pain, sickness, and even death.
This is the way of life for many in Sudan. Salva Dut, a Sudanese refugee and "Walking Boy", established Water for Sudan, an organization that drills wells to transform lives in South Sudan.
Penfield Presbyterian will be sponsoring the drilling of at least one of these wells - and fundraising for even more. Look for more information to come, including information on how to get your Water for Life cookbook to support this life giving cause!
