About

We wish for all children to know that they are God’s beloved and part of the PPC congregation. Our primary foundation is building trusting and loving relationships with each child and youth. We are blessed with a small number of wonderful children and youth in our church family.

Church School activities are volunteer led and are generally offered two (2) times per month. During worship children are invited to come forward for a Children’s Message shared by the pastor or church member and then they either attend class or rejoin their families in worship.

For our preschool and elementary aged children, we use interactive storytelling, crafts, and art images to explore Bible stories and make Christian education fun. Curriculum is designed to nurture the development of faith through age-appropriate Bible stories.

Our middle school age children use a variety of materials which: 1) encourage them to use their imaginations and life experiences as they develop biblical knowledge, 2) ask questions, 3) explore the faith tradition of others, 4) begin to explore concepts of Reformed theology and practice, and 5) explore promises Christians make to God and to one another. Most importantly, spiritual development is nurtured through relationship with caring adults in the congregation and with their peers as they create community, share in worship, and learn together.

If you need separate nursery care or if your child needs special accommodations for active participation in class, please contact our office administrator with your request.
