Seasonal Teams

Our church utilizes a Seasonal Model for our primary organizational structure rather than a committee model. Instead of multiple standing committees that run indefinitely we engage small teams to take on the work of the church for short periods of time. These timebound and voluntary Seasonal Teams work with the pastor to guide the church for a single liturgical season (i.e. Advent/Epiphany, Lent/Easter, Pentecost, Harvest). The Seasonal Teams develop a specific theme for the season and help direct the work of the church using that theme. Each team chooses how they will focus their energy to support worship, promote learning, create mission opportunities, and engage in hospitality for their season. The Seasonal Model promotes creativity, enthusiasm, and wider sharing of responsibilities. Participation with a Seasonal Team is open to both members and regular visitors.
